Even if I'm just passing a pub and I hear that sound of someone getting a feature I feel jealous because I know they are feeling really good then and I want the same. It's like the lights and the noise just suck you into this other world. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop the sound from having that affect on me?

hey biggest loser, I think it's a really natural thing for our senses to evoke emotions and feelings - it can also happen when we hear an old song or taste/smell some types of food from our childhood. when i get a negative thought i try and spin it round to a positive - so instead of thinking about what you're missing out on you could try and focus on all the reasons why its a really good thing you're not in that pokie room too.

I feel like the sound draws me in too. But tomorrow I am self excluding. I have had enough.
