I am joining the forum to try and help myself
I have lost my savings..and most of all family are just there but I don't know how long for as I have not told them everything and they have their own life's husband knows but I feel he is trying to distance himself from me he is always to busy for me...
I am feeling so lost so sad
I have let myself and other people down..

Hi Marie,

Thanks for sharing your story - it sounds like things are really difficult right now. I'm glad you were able to find this forum and hopefully connect with other people who may be able to understand what you are going through.
You mentioned in your post that you were worried about the impact of gambling on your relationships, and also that you're feeling quite alone. It can be really difficult to deal with a gambling problem when you are feeling isolated...sometimes it can help to talk to someone outside of the situation. If you would like to talk to a trained counsellor about what has been happening, please give us a call on 1800 858 858. You could speak over the phone or meet someone face to face, whatever suits you.
Marie, please do remember that it is a big step that you've made joining this forum and taking the first step towards recovery - it is so hard to do this alone and getting some support can make all the difference.
